Our Curated Workshops

  1. The basic principles of Pilates
  2. Postural imbalances common to swimmers
  3. Exercises to strengthen muscles required for swimming
  4. Exercises to address postural imbalances in swimmers
  5. We will work through a few concepts in theory first and then will actively do a number of exercises together so that you can demonstrate and implement the exercises in your training sessions with your swimmers. 
  6. Having attended the workshop, you will need to submit a 5-10 minute video of you teaching 1 exercise to a swimmer/s where you correctly apply the knowledge & skills as taught to you. 

The workshop knowledge & skills will be appropriate for use with swimmers who are learning their strokes as well as early squad training level. Most can be extrapolated to older swimmers who enter coaching as well.

 

Please select one of the dates as offered below. The workshop should take 2,5 hours to work through. You will need to wear comfortable clothes, have a working camera on your device used to log in to the Zoom meeting and I suggest having a mat to work on for the practical sessions. 

SSA has allocated 2 CPD points for this workshop. You will receive an attendance certificate on completion of the homework assignment & can then submit this to SSA for points.
