Our Story
Our ambition is to share our knowledge and experience with others in the interests of the sport and the community, to enhance the profession and create opportunities for swim instructors.
Swim Dynamics Instructor Training was founded by Dee Barnard and Bev Verweij in 2008. Dee and Bev met many years ago through their mutual love of swimming and are both very accomplished swimming instructors.
They recognised the need for effective swimming instructor courses that would train aspiring and accomplished swim instructors in South Africa. They created and authored the Swim Dynamics courses with a concept of it being an educational program that teaches candidates how to teach swimming. Bev and Dee were intent on creating a program that facilitates the education of swimming teachers that not only teaches water safety but how to teach swimming effectively.
Swim Dynamics facilitators have a wealth of knowledge and experience within the swimming industry drawn from a variety of different backgrounds.
Swim Dynamics facilitators all share the same ambition: to share their knowledge and experience with others in the interests of the sport and the community, to enhance the profession and create opportunities for swim instructors.
Swim Dynamics prides itself in developing programs that are up to date, forward-thinking and teach the latest methods and techniques of swimming. Through the years Swim Dynamics has introduced new courses and facilitators.Swim Dynamics has grown from strength to strength and is now an established name within the swimming community in S.A. and internationally.
